Work's Five Year Anniversary Party

About two years ago, my workplace had it's five year anniversary party. The party was hosted at Café Royal (now closed down unfortunately) & was a black tie event. As I had no formal wear or even a dress in my wardrobe ( I dress as a tramp in everyday life) I decided to wear my furisode, the very first one i ever brought.
The furisode is a synthetic one which is good if your going to a party of 100 and the drinks are free! I decided to wear a fukura suzume tsuke obi, because i had no one else to help me dress :(
It took about two hours to dress myself, and even though my obiage is really a shigoki obi, because i didn't have a red obiage and my obijime is riding up. I'm really pleased with the kitsuke :)

The furisode was a success, I was the only person not wearing any black! got alot of compliments from workmates, it was a really good night. However trying to get a cab on a saturday night in the middle of central London is nigh on impossible! So me and a some friends had to wait for a cab outside the Tiger Tiger Bar. Now one thing i wouldn't recommend doing in a kimono is waiting with drunk people. I had to fight off people wanting to touch or hug me! We got a cab eventually and that was the end of my first furisode outing.
